Update 11:55 am: Fire Crews Have Kula Brush Fire ‘Knocked Down’
Fire crews continue to battle a brush fire that has burned about 7 acres near Kula Agriculture Park and Pulehu Road.
Crews have the fire knocked down and are further securing the perimeter. Air 1 is providing water drops, according to the Maui Fire Department.
The fire alarm sounded at 9:48 am, with seven ground crews and the air support responding.
Previous:
At 10:33 am Sunday, Pulehu Road (370) — from Holopuni Road to just north of Kulakula Road, was closed due to a brush fire in Kula.
