When it comes to financial education, it’s really never too early or late to start. Whether you’re working towards your next big milestone or simply want to get on track with your budget, American Savings Bank is here to help! The bank recently launched a library of free financial trainings and resources on its website. HI Now host Kainoa Carlson spoke with Patti Kino at ASB to learn more.
“The pandemic has really underscored the desire for people to up their financial IQ and learn more about the world of finance,” says Kino. “With this in mind, we recently launched ASB Financial Education: a library of financial wellness content on our website, asbhawaii.com. It includes a wide variety of financial topics, with each bite-sized training taking just five minutes to complete. Best of all? This resource is free for the public to use!”
To get started, all you have to do is visit asbhawaii.com and click on Financial Wellness at the top of the screen. Topics include Debt Management, Budgeting for Families, Credit Scores, Finance for Caregivers of Seniors and much more. The trainings can be accessed from your computer, smart phone or tablet.
“Over the coming months, we’ll be adding more content based on what our customers and the public want to learn,” Kino says. “We’re also using this content to educate local youth by partnering with our Bank for Education Ohana Schools. So far, 13 schools are leveraging this free resource!”
In addition to its Financial Education content, ASB has a lot more helpful information on its website, including the Financial Checkup, which gives you a real time assessment with recommendations on your financial situation. ASB bankers are also available to meet with you and talk you through any questions you might have. You can use the Make an Appointment tool on the website to schedule a meeting at a branch or via phone. Visit asbhawaii.com to learn more!
