The Domestic Violence Action Center Celebrates Father’s Day with “High $5 For Dad”
“Men are allies in our community’s work to address domestic violence, and so Father’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate good fathers and thank them for the good work that they do,” said Kriedman.
The DVAC will hold signs up at the corner of Ward Avenue and Ala Moana Boulevard to support fathers on Saturday, June 12. It is asking for $5 donations to contribute toward their anti-domestic abuse advocacy program. It is also fundraising by selling beach towels and pouches featuring one-of-a-kind art by artist Peggy Hopper.
