Sports called off this weekend and what’s still on

Heading the list of cancellations this weekend because of safety is the  Tablelands Tinspinners barrel racing.

“Tablelands Tinspinners committee have decided due to poor weather expected Tomorrow (Saturday June 16) up to 90km winds and snow,” representative Dot Dewsbury said.

“For the safety of competitors and the horses we will be cancelling our event .

“We would like to thank everyone for there support so far this year without you guys our club would not be so successful.

“A special thanks to our sponsors for those amazing Bob Berg buckles up for grabs at end of year.

Jacki Waugh reports that the NSW Pony Club Association Dressage Championship that were to be held at the Goulburn Pony Club grounds have been cancelled for this weekend. They will be run at a suitable date later in the year.

Steven Dunn reports that Athletics ACT’s High Noon Meet in Canberra on Sunday has been cancelled.

Any other organisations that have cancellations this weekend because of the weather can contact the Goulburn Post and we will add your notification to the list.

Friday) at Carr Confoy Park is still on – notification 3pm. This later was cancelled because of heavy rain just before the games

There has been no cancellation for the Goulburn Stockmen Women’s game at the Workers Arena Friday night against the Gungahlin Bulls at 7.15pm.

Under 16 boys Stockmen are also playing against the Gungahlin Bulls at 6pm.

Goulburn Bulldogs are still scheduled to play at the Workers Arena Saturday against the Belconnen United Sharks 10.50am for the women’s league tag with U18s, reserves then First grade at 3pm.

All soccer at Cookbundoon Sports Fields is still going ahead unless teams have been notified by their managers or coaches of a forfeit or bye. 

 Remember this is the Stags Club’s Call to Arms Day so bring your money to buy an Aussie scarf, raffle tickets or other goodies in support of men’s cancer research.
