The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the summits of Hawaiʻi Island, in effect from today to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021.
The forecast calls for total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches above the 12,000 foot elevation.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Motorists can plan on slippery icy road conditions and low visibility in freezing fog.
