Report outlines positives of sports for children
Lindsey Taylor, the executive director of Ballin’ for a Cause could have told you that, without a report.
“You’re constantly involved with something positive and it takes away from violence in the streets, gang activity. It promotes health as well,” said Taylor.
This weekend will be the 11th Ballin’ for a Cause basketball tournament. It starts Friday night at Villa Maria College. It raises money for scholarships and to keep kids in sports programs.
The study says girls and children from low-income families are less likely to participate in sports. It recommends more is done to make sports available for all kids.
