Join the Hawaii Promise Walk for Preeclampsia virtually June 26, 2021
Sponsored by Hawaii Promise Walk for Preeclampsia
Preeclampsia is something that affects 1 out of every 12 pregnant women. It’s a life-threatening disease to both mom and baby and can strike quickly. The Preeclampsia Foundation is having its Promise Walk on June 26, 2021, to raise awareness, and everyone can participate in the virtual event.
Preeclampsia is a serious life-threating disease related to high blood pressure during pregnancy. It can cause seizures, stroke, organ damage, premature birth for baby, and possibly death. From a statistics perspective, it impacts 76,000 mothers and 500,000 babies each year worldwide.
The Promise Walk will be held virtually on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 8 a.m. Anyone from anywhere can participate by registering as an individual or creating a team. The Promise Walk for Preeclampsia supports the mission of the Preeclampsia Foundation as the organization continues to raise public awareness, catalyze research, provide patient education, and improve healthcare practices.
