With the opening of Central Pacific Bank’s new flagship branch in downtown Honolulu, there are so many new things to explore. One of those is Tidepools@CPB, and HI Now host Kanoe Gibson is with Manager Mari Galiher to learn more about the space.

Tidepools@CPB is Central Pacific Bank’s new co-working space, and it’s perfect for those who are looking for a place to work or collaborate and network with like-minded people.

“It is perfect for freelancers, start-ups, solo entrepreneurs… really, anyone is welcome!” Galiher says. “What’s also great about our co-working space is that we share the space with our new banking area and Aloha Beer where guests can order some light bites and pupus.”

There’s even a Starbucks Pick Up, which is the first grab-n-go concept store in Hawaii.

Another new offering found within Tidepools@CPB is its new art wall, which will feature local artists. The art wall will feature local, Hawaiian art pieces and will be curated by a partnership with PA`I Foundation, whose executive director is Kumu Hula Vicky Holt Takamine. Every quarter, PA`I Foundation will be installing a new exhibit armed with new art pieces from all over the island with a goal to reflect the diversity of CPB, the new Central Pacific Plaza and Tidepools@CPB.

“As part of CPB’s RISE2020 initiative, which is our commitment to stay at the forefront of the changing needs of our customers and community with digital banking solutions and a modernized branch experience, we wanted to bring the focus of our new main branch to the needs of the community in which we serve,” Galiher says.

As Central Pacific Plaza is located at the heart of downtown Honolulu, CPB believed the best way to support its clientele and the local community of entrepreneurs and small businesses was to create a co-working space equipped with WiFi, pods (conference rooms), as well as a place to grab small bites.
