HSFCU partners with Friends of the Library Hawaii to open pop-up bookstore
Sponsored by Hawaii State FCU
April is Financial Literacy Month, and the folks at Hawaii State FCU are committed to building financially confident communities by providing people with the tools and resources they need to make smart financial decisions.
The credit union also does this through the support of like-minded organizations, like Friends of the Library of Hawaii, that help to educate and enrich the public through its work with the state’s network of public libraries. Now through June, Hawaii State FCU is proud to be a presenting sponsor of Friends of the Library’s Village Books & Music pop-up store at Ward Village. The store boasts thousands of books, pieces of artwork and music for sale. HI Now host Kanoe Gibson went to check it out.
Village Books & Music is open Tuesday – Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is closed on Monday. No reservation is necessary to come to Village Books, but if you plan to stop by on the weekends when it gets busier, you may want to reserve a time to visit online at flhhawaii.org/villagebooks for added convenience.
It also takes a lot of people to keep this bookstore up and running, so Friends of the Hawaii Library is always looking for volunteers to help out. Anyone interested in volunteering or looking for other ways to support the organization can find more information at flhhawaii.org.
