Hotel review: Fairmont Jaipur – Business Traveller
BACKGROUND Launched in 2012, Fairmont Jaipur is the Fairmont brand’s first property in India.
WHAT’S IT LIKE Tucked away in the Aravalli hills, Fairmont Jaipur pays tribute to the Pink city and features a décor inspired by the Mughal dynasty and Rajputs.
WHERE IS IT The closest airport is Jaipur International Airport. All major destinations of Rajasthan can be accessed by Jaipur Railway Station. The hotel is close to tourist spots such as Sheesh Mahal, Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal.
ROOM FACILITIES All 245 guestrooms and suites of this luxury hotel blends traditional Rajasthani décor with modern amenities. Doors made with timber, low-seating day beds and arched windows, opening to an uninterrupted view of the Aravalli hills, are some of the in-room details that add to the royal vibe of this place.
RESTAURANTS From Rajasthani delights to Mediterranean-inspired dishes, this hotel serves an expansive range of food and beverages. I had my breakfast and dinner at Zoya, the all-day dining restaurant. Other F&B offerings include the hotel’s signature restaurant Zarin serving Indo-Persian cuisine, Anjum for cocktails, and Aza library bar serving special cocktails and quick bites.
Fairmont Jaipur houses 8361 sqm of space for organising meetings and social events. The Grand Ballroom and seven meeting rooms are embellished with chandeliers, gold-infused murals, and delicate mirror work. The property also offers a spacious lawn where you can have large and small gatherings.
Jaipur tours, hot air balloon rides, bike trails, trips to historical forts and palaces, and a visit to an authentic village are some of the leisure experiences that the hotel offers to guests.
VERDICT Fairmont Jaipur ensures that your visit to the ‘Pink city’ is a regal one.
