State B Tourney Semis in Sioux Falls
Redfield/Doland/NW
Bon Homme/Scotland 7-3
Leyton Rohlfs went the distance, but Redfield’s high school baseball season was closed out by Bon Homme on Tuesday, 7-3. Rohlfs allowed 5R in the 1st 2inn, and the squad couldn’t quite get offensive momentum going. Barrett Wren had the 1st hit of the game for Redfield, a 2R-2B in the T-3rd to make it 5-2. Drew Masat added an RBI-single in 6th and that was that.
Lennox
West Central 7-0
Lennox was held to just 2H in a shut-out by West Central, 7-0. Miles Mutziger went the distance on the mound, striking out two and relying on solid defense behind him.
State B Tourney Finals in Sioux Falls
Bon Homme/Scotland 7-5
West Central
BH/S took the State B Baseball title w/ a 7-5 win over West Central. The team was helped by six errors, notching a win despite a 10-5 disadvantage in the hits category. BH/S led 7-0 through 4.5inn and held on for the victory. Brock Haldeman took the CG loss for West Central.
ESD
The final standings are in for the Girls’ ESD All-Sports Award, and Brandon Valley eked out top honors over the Golden Eagles. A 1st place finish on the links bumped Aberdeen Central up to 2nd place, but the Lynx took top honors. Watertown & Harrisburg wound up right behind AC in a tie for 3rd.
