HFS FCU supporting the community for 85 years
Sponsored by HFS Federal Credit Union
The credit union was founded on January 4, 1937 by a group of 9 individuals who came together to meet one simple need – making credit available to those with small means. That commitment to the community continues today, as the federal credit union gets ready to celebrate 85 years of award-winning service.
Many may remember the credit union as Hawaii Federal and State Employees Federal Credit Union, but in 2000, HFS expanded its membership to anyone who lives, works, goes to school, or has some kind of tie to the Big Island. From then on, we are known simply as “HFS Federal Credit Union”.
The staff are the heart and soul of HFS Federal Credit Union. They are dedicated to helping their customers achieve their financial goals.
HFS FCU is the largest credit union on the Big Island, with 6 branches island-wide and over 50,000 members. Visit hfsfcu.org for more information.
