Hawaiian Electric Working to Repair Downed Pole/Lines on Moloka‘i

Gusty southerly winds caused outages in various parts of Molokaʻi today, including the Hoʻolehua, Kalaʻe Highway and Maunaloa areas.

Hawaiian Electric crews are presently working to replace a downed pole in the Maunaloa area as well as repair power lines that came down after a large ironwood tree fell in the Kalaʻe Highway area.

Company representatives say crews are working as quickly as possible to safely restore power to affected areas.
