Hawaiian Airlines is looking forward to welcoming back international travelers after an announcement this week from the Biden administration, outlining plans for a testing and vaccine program in November.

Hawaiian Airlines issued a statement saying: “International travelers are a vital contributor to Hawai‘i’s economy, and we look forward to welcoming them back to the islands under the Biden administration’s new vaccination and testing program taking effect Nov. 8. It will be crucial that we change the state of Hawai‘i’s existing Safe Travels requirement for international travelers to match the federal rule to eliminate redundant screening and avoid confusion for prospective visitors as they plan their travel.”

White House Assistant Press Secretary, Kevin Munoz mentioned the plans via Twitter on Oct. 15, saying, “The US’ new travel policy that requires vaccination for foreign national travelers to the United States will begin on Nov 8. This announcement and date applies to both international air travel and land travel. This policy is guided by public health, stringent, and consistent.”
