Hawaii State FCU has grown in the last 10 years, opening new locations, and increasing their membership count. Within the next year, Hawaii State FCU Recruiter Chris Canubida says they plan to open more branches around the island along with a new downtown headquarters which will house most of their back-office employees. “We’re going to be looking for talented, hard-working candidates to join our Hawaii State FCU family,” says Canubida.
Sheldon Matsui, Recruiter at Hawaii State FCU, says that new hires always give positive feedback after participating in orientation. “They always tell me the same thing: Everyone is so nice here, and its true.” Matsui says that he is a great example of how Hawaii State FCU tries to develop and help their employees advance their careers. He started with Hawaii State FCU as an employee in Member Services, and eventually found a position in the Human Resources department.
The culture and work environment are what Matsui says helped him advance in the company. Hawaii State FCU lives by the philosophy of people helping people. Their tag line is Right By You, which means that everyone supports one another on the frontline and the back end. All team members work together to achieve the same goals and contribute to the community.
Even during these tough times, Canubida advises to stay positive because companies are still hiring. If you are interested in applying at Hawaii State FCU, visit their website at hawaiistatefcu.com.
