Fitness is Essential: HI Now hosts get their sweat on with Flexx Fitness
Sponsored by Cutter Chevrolet
Fitness is essential. That’s the motto of local gym Flexx Fitness located in Dole Cannery. In a time that’s been so stressful to many, staying active can help with both your physical and mental health. HI Now hosts Kanoe Gibson and Kainoa Carlson are headed to the gym’s outdoor courtyard to get their sweat on!
Chris and Debbie Faildo are no strangers to fitness, as both have a history as body builders and trainers. The couple opened Flexx Fitness earlier this year right before gyms were shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of Saturday, September 26, 2020, they were able to re-open the gym in Dole’s outdoor courtyard. The couple says Dole Cannery went out of its way to ensure that its small businesses stayed alive during these challenging times.
Flexx Fitness caters to all types of people who like to train with a wide range of weight equipment. Everything you’ll find there is brand new from Realleader Fitness Company. The couple says many health and mental issues can be avoided by simply exercising on a regular basis, something to keep in mind especially when so many people have been spending a lot of time staring at a screen while working from home.
Flexx Fitness is open Monday through Sunday form 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. While it is open, face masks and temperature checks are still required. It also continues to take cleaning and sanitizing very seriously. Each member is given their own towel and disinfectant to wipe down all the equipment used.
