The County of Maui Department of Management announces changes to its Da Bee shuttle bus program to further benefit Wailuku commuters.
Effective this week, Da Bee’s Route B includes a stop at Māʻalaea Park & Ride “Mud Flats” where people can park and then be transported to various stops in Wailuku.
The route will run throughout the day and arrive at each stop every 30 to 40 minutes. The first shuttle leaves the Māʻalaea at 6:30 a.m. and the last shuttle will return to the parking area at 6 p.m.
This new route is in addition to Da Bee’s Route A, which offers parking at Maui Lani Safeway (located across from Baldwin High School) with various stops in Wailuku every 15 minutes. Shuttle service on Da Bee’s Route A is available 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The shuttle stops in Wailuku are marked by native flowers on sidewalks. Both Routes include the ʻŌhiʻa Lehua Stop (on N. High Street fronting the State Office Building) and ‘Ilima Stop (on Main Street fronting 808 on Main restaurant). Riders are advised that the County of Maui relocated the ‘Ilima Stop to this new location to better serve riders.
Route A also includes the Nau Stop (on Wells Street fronting District Court), and Route B includes the Ma‘o Stop (on Kamole Street near Kehalani Makai Parkway). Refer to route maps for specific locations.
There is no cost to ride Da Bee. Shuttle service is available Monday through Friday, except holidays.
Da Bee shuttle service is part of the County’s mitigation efforts to reduce traffic during the Wailuku Town Improvement Project. It features two brand-new, 22-seater vehicles that are low-emission, ADA accessible and include seat belts. Shuttles are cleaned and disinfected throughout the day.
