For anyone who doesn’t like their teeth or smile, Dr. Wynn Okuda wants to focus on bringing out the best in you. Dr. Okuda practices cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry in Kaimuki on Oahu and has been in practice for over 30 years. Not only can cosmetic dentistry provide an attractive and natural appearing smile, but it also makes for a more healthy, functional smile.

Dr. Okuda believes in the importance of creating a customized smile for each patient based on their personality, facial shape, skin tone and color, and all the features that make up a person’s uniqueness. When creating a smile for someone, Dr. Okuda starts with a complimentary consultation to get to know the patient and what they want. The staff take photos, x-rays, impressions, and Dr. Okuda studies and evaluates them to develop a treatment plan.

“Patients can come in and talk about what they really want,” Dr. Okuda explains. “For those in their 20s, patients they may want a dynamic, dazzling smile. For older patients in their 40s or 60s, they may want something more natural and comfortable for them.  For these older patients, we find that cosmetic dentistry may take off 10 – 15 years off their face, with their new rejuvenated look.”

Dr. Okuda sees patients from teenagers to those in their 20s, and even those in their 40s, 60s and beyond.

“Everyone deserves a great smile!” Dr. Okuda says.

To keep patients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, the dental office has implemented a number of new procedures. Each patient is screened with a temperature check and then asked questions about potential COVID-19 exposure or risk factors. Before treatment, patients also rinse with a solution that kills the coronavirus to protect the office staff. Staff members also repeatedly wipe down exposed surfaces, and fog the office after each patient to maintain a clean, sterile environment.
