The 9th Bayanihan Food Distribution will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 at the Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului.

The drive-through Food Distribution, at 780 Onehee Ave. across from Maui Waena School, is open to the public. It begins at 9 am and continues until the supplies of hot food, produce and assorted groceries run out.

For traffic flow purposes, vehicles must enter Onehee Avenue by turning right from South Papa Avenue.  Kea Street between Papa Avenue and Holua Drive will be closed from 7 am to 12:30 pm.  Please do not block driveways and line up as directed by the Maui Police Department and the Hawaiʻi National Guard.

In December, thanks to the partnership of the County of Maui and Maui Foodbank, 196 volunteers distributed 720 food boxes. They included: 1,250 plate lunches, 10,341 canned goods, 840 bags of rice, 720 dozens of eggs, 720 gallons of milk, 1,968 boxes of mashed potato, 3,152 snacks and other dried goods, 3,096 beverages, 900 Maui Gold pineapples; 5,950 pounds of produce, 2000 bags of bread, 960 Pepsi beverages and 600 McDonald’s certificates.

The Bayanihan Food Distribution is spearheaded by Binhi at Ani in cooperation with other businesses, individuals and community organizations.
